Accredited Practising Dietitians are nutrition professionals who have qualifications and skills to provide evidence based nutrition support.
Do I need a referral to see a dietitian?
No, you do not need a referral to see a dietitian. If you have a Chronic Disease Management Plan you may be eligible for a Medicare rebate.
What can I expect at my first appointment?
During an initial consultation we will discuss your lifestyle, medical history, eating habits and goals. From this, we will work together to help support your goals by providing personalised nutrition advice and a clear plan.
Do you provide meal plans?
Meal plans can be provided to support your nutrition, however our sessions will also focus on education and building flexible, sustainable habits to support your lifestyle.
How many sessions will I need?
This depends on your goals and needs. Some people benefit from a few sessions whilst others prefer ongoing support. During your initial consultation we will discuss a plan that works best for you.
Can I claim through Medicare of private health insurance?
If you have a GP Care Plan, you may be eligible for a Medicare rebate. Some private health funds cover dietitian services, check with your provider for details.
What is your cancellation policy?
We kindly ask that you provide at least 24 hours if you are unable to attend your appointment. A cancellation fee of 50% of the cost may be incurred if less than 24 hours is given.
